What is a Ceramic Coating:

Many people have heard of the term “Ceramic Coating” but are not entirely sure what it means. In short terms, a ceramic coating is a protective layer that is applied to your vehicle’s paint. Rather than sitting over the paint as wax does, ceramic coatings use nano-technology to bond to your vehicle’s paint keeping your vehicle protected for years.

For vehicles I provide a variety of ceramic coating products from a 2-year coating up to 5+ years Graphene Ceramic Coating. Graphene Ceramic is one of the strongest chemical bonds that can be made, allowing for an extremely strong protective layer that will outlast a typical ceramic coating.

Ceramic Coatings on watercrafts can last up to 2-years!

What are the benefits of Ceramic and Graphene Ceramic Coatings?

Benefits include protection against UV damage, prevention against oxidation, and chemical resistance, creating a smooth/ slick surface allowing water to bead and roll off your paint which gives slight self-cleaning properties, making maintenance on the vehicle easier, protecting your paint from the elements such as dirt, enhance the gloss on your paint, protects from potential surface scratches, etc…

What is my process?

When I complete ceramic coatings on vehicles I take many precautions to ensure a proper installation. I begin by hand washing the vehicle using a two-bucket method. Both buckets contain grit guards which trap dirt at the bottom of the buckets to help keep the wash mitt clean. This allows for me to rinse the grim off my wash mitt in one bucket, and soap it in another. I also use a soap with a stripping agent to help pull off any contaminates from your vehicle’s paint as well as remove any other waxes or sealants that may be on the vehicle. From here I do an iron decontamination on the vehicle which helps to remove iron deposits or other metallic contaminates from the vehicle’s paint. After this, I do a thorough rinse of the vehicle, and then I check the vehicle to ensure no spots have been missed. After drying the vehicle I clay bar the vehicle which removes any tough contaminants that were not removed with the previous steps. This also aids in smoothing the paint on your vehicle. From there I begin the paint correction process. With the use of professional lighting, and a professional grade buffer and pads, I complete the paint correction process. For a single-step (or 1-step) correction, I will machine polish the paint (buff) which smooths the vehicle’s clear coat, aids in the removal of paint defects such as surface scratches and light swirls, and then I coat the vehicle. For a 2-step paint correction, I buff the paint with a heavier cut compound which helps to eliminate slightly deeper scratches into your clear coat, as well as deeper swirl marks, from here I machine polish the paint to clear the paint and create a smooth and shiny surface to then apply the Ceramic Coating to.

This process takes anywhere from 4-8+ hours depending on the condition of the vehicle’s paint.
